Kathak/Mendhi Cake

This cake was for a friend that is a professional kathak dancer...
I decided to make a silhouette of him from a photo of him doing a kathak pose...
He also does mendhi... so I decided to decorate the rest of the cake in a mendhi type pattern

Boob Cake

This is my 1st attempt at using fondant.
I think that I did an excellent job :D

so0oo0o0....
I've included the method I used to make my boob cake
1stly I hired a football cake mould from my local baking shop.
So basically, you're supposed to make the ball in 2 halves and then stick them together... all I did was keep them separate.

This is what it looked like after I took it out of pans.

I then made a yummy icing :P
I used margarine, icing sugar and cocoa

I covered the two cakes with thick layers of icing using a spatula.
Then I got my fondant ready.
Fondant is also called plastic icing and you can buy this at a baking shop or make your own using marshmellows. :)
Make sure that you are working on a clean surface, and also that it is dry and dusted with icing sugar.
Here you can see me breaking a small piece off, and I'm going to use this for the nipples.
I bought pink gel food colouring (which is kinda expensive, but you need to use gel to colour the fondant. You only need a little though, so i used a tooth pick to help me get just a little bit out of the bottle.

This is me making the nipples.
I eventually reduced the size.

I then coloured the rest of the fondant with ivory gel food colouring and then rolled it out with a rolling pin.

I missed out a couple photos...but I think that you can see what I did here.
I covered the cakes with the rolled out fondant, and added the nipples. I stuck down the nipples using left over icing and then I proceeded to decorate the cake using an piping bag.

This is the bra, I used red and black gel food colouring. However, the red turned out to be more orange. I tried to make the lace with a thinner nozzle.

I then wrote Happy B-day on the left breast.
The finished product is at the top of the post :)

Goofy Cake

This is my Goofy Cake!
Enough said.

Smurf Village Cake

This is my smurf village cake!
whoop whoop!
so0o0o0o0o0......
I first saw the lil figures at my local baking shop so was eager to use them...
then a friend of mine asked me to make him a smurf bday cake!
n i was like...yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But when I went to actually buy the smurfs they were all grumpy :(
but no one seemed to care.
I wanted to use a grass tip for the grass... but it was kinda expensive... so i got over it.
Then I was gna make the grass out of coconut... but I don't really like coconut and i thought I would just make a mess out of it.
But i think the grass came out ok.
I made the mushroom houses from 2 cupcakes... the bridge is made out of kit-kat and the sign is white chocolate :) and the smurfs and flowers are fondant(I bought these).
O!!!!!
and the best part!
Its a vanilla cake which I coloured using blue food colouring :D
This was a nice surprise when the birthday boy cut it :)

Princess Jasmine Cake

This is a Princess Jasmine Cake. My friend loves Princess Jasmine and Disney, so i tried to find a cake mould of Princess Jasmine, but i couldn't. So i planned to just go with the whole Disney princess castle thing. When I got home, I googled images of the castle in Aladdin and decided to adapt the cake to look more like it. I then thought it would be a good idea to actually have Jasmine in the corner. I decided to use a chibi version as it is simpler and much cuter.
